About the Journal

AL-FATIH: Journal of Community Engagement and Social Empowerment focuses on the publication and dissemination of scholarly works resulting from community engagement, community service, social empowerment, and sustainable development initiatives. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches that provide practical solutions, social innovation, and measurable impacts on communities.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

1. Community Engagement and Community Service
   Community-based programs, university–community partnerships, service-learning activities, and innovative approaches to community engagement.
2. Community Empowerment and Capacity Building
   Initiatives aimed at strengthening individual and community capacities, leadership, participation, self-reliance, and community resilience.
3. Education and Community-Based Learning
   Educational empowerment, literacy programs, non-formal education, digital literacy, inclusive education, and community-based learning initiatives.
4. Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship
   Community entrepreneurship, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), creative economy, financial literacy, social entrepreneurship, and local economic development.
5. Social Welfare and Inclusion
   Programs addressing social welfare, poverty alleviation, gender equality, disability inclusion, vulnerable groups, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.
6. Health and Community Well-Being
   Community health promotion, health education, nutrition, sanitation, disease prevention, mental health awareness, and initiatives to improve community well-being.

10. Participatory Action Research and Community-Based Research
    Participatory action research, community-based participatory research, needs assessment, program evaluation, and other research approaches involving communities as active partners.

    Community participation in governance, public service innovation, village development, civic engagement, institutional strengthening, and collaborative governance.

The journal particularly welcomes manuscripts that demonstrate clear community involvement, systematic implementation, practical outcomes, innovation, and measurable or observable impacts on community empowerment and well-being.
